The Art Well 2024 Update

The Art Well is grateful for a new period of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund which commenced in September 2024. Enabling us to support more people across 4 groups. The Art Well offers online and face to face therapeutic art groups to improve mental health and wellbeing, with additional seasonal eco art therapy groups.

All groups require a referral.

The Art Well has supported 53 individuals across three groups in the last year. The Art Well is enabling many people who are struggling with their mental health and social isolation to feel a sense of belonging, and to build relationships within the group and beyond. I

The Art Well at Project 229 – September 2021 Update

The Art Well has been continuing throughout the pandemic with ongoing grant support from the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation and Kempston Charities, for which we are extremely grateful. We are pleased to announce that The National Lottery Community Fund will be funding the project for the next three years, commencing in September 2021.

The Art Well is a therapeutic arts for health group, supporting mental health and wellbeing through creativity. We are now running groups both online and face to face.

The Art Well for Blog

The Art Well is a brand new initiative at Project 229, Kempston, Bedford. It is an arts for health studio group, a space where expressing through art is accessible for health and wellbeing.

The Art Well is currently a 12 month pilot project, starting in September 2019, funded by:

The Frank Branston Charitable Trust

The Kempston Charities

With support from project 229.

Adults with mental health or social isolation needs from Kempston or Bedford can be referred. Participants do not need a diagnosed condition.
